This blog just got 20% cooler
If you are a fan of the TV show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and you’re not a little girl (or maybe you are, and if so, bravo on your reading skills!), then you’ll know exactly what that means. If you aren’t and you don’t, then it’s time to step up and learn how Bronies are going to make the world a better place. Welcome to the party, pal!
Once upon a time
A sizable group of (mostly) teenage boys and adult men emerged as HUGE and often obsessive fans of the show My Little Pony. I recently discovered this gem of a demographic while watching the documentary Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony – most inspirational movie I’ve seen in a long time. I haven’t seen such an outpouring of love and positive energy since my last cuddle party (in my dreams. I’ve never actually attended a cuddle party but looking for an invite).
To outsiders, the show appears to be about a bunch of colorful horses in a land of magic and rainbows who may find themselves in a bit of mischief every now and then. But Bronies know the truth – Twilight Sparkle and all of her friends discover and appreciate on a daily basis the joy and magic of friendship.
It’s all about the Elements of Harmony
Loyalty, kindness, generosity, laughter, honesty and of course, magic – these are the running themes of every My Little Pony episode. Of course the Bronies worship them! Who doesn’t want these qualities to exist in every one of their relationships, romantic or otherwise?! This is their credo, this is their way of life, this is what they put in their Kool-Aid, er, water trough.
Bronies are so romantic
They even have their own dating site – BronyMate.com. People with the same set of morals and values and love for everything pony would naturally gravitate towards one another. I imagine people on that site are quite successful, seeing as though honesty is one of their tenets. Might help if there were more Pegasisters out there. Here’s an opportunity for you ladies looking for love – why not take a spin in the Brony express? I don’t think they would disappoint.
Imagine if you will
A world where everyone treated each other like those in the Land of Equestria. Where we were all willing recipients to daily messages of integrity, harmony and social guidance. There would be no bullies, no liars, cheaters, meanie pants or even general fun haters. And bonus – there would be magic! Can’t beat that with a stick!
